Rob Wilhite is responsible for leading Black & Veatch’s Global Distributed Energy business line. This includes the design, engineering, development, and monitoring/maintenance of client sustainable power solutions including distributed generation, microgrids, battery energy storage, asset management services, and utility grid services.
In addition to serving as a board director and executive committee member for GridWise Alliance, Rob also serves on the City of Belmont’s (NC) Energy and Sustainability Board, and as co-chair of the technology & innovation pillar for Dentons’ Smart Cities & Community Think Tank. Rob also co-authored KEMA’s first book, Utility of the Future: Directions for Enhancing Sustainability, Reliability and Profitability
Recognized as one of the top 25 consultants in the U.S. by Consulting Magazine in 2009, Rob has also been cited as one of the Networked Grid 100 Movers and Shakers of the Smart Grid by Greentech Media in 2012, as well as participated in President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness in 2011.
