Andy is a product leader focused on bringing to market technologies that enable dramatic improvements to the flexibility of the electric grid. He currently manages Landis+Gyr’s portfolio of distributed energy resource management products and services that control load, generation, and stored energy from the distribution substation to the customer premise. The hardware and software products in this portfolio build upon the company’s industry leading portfolio of grid edge sensors and communications. Prior to Landis+Gyr, Andy had several product and business development roles with SunEdison, and energy storage start-up, Primus Power. At SunEdison, Andy led commercialization and deployment of the company’s renewable SCADA solutions across all renewable technologies for both central and distributed power plants. With Primus, Andy made the company’s first commercial sales, led new product introduction, and was integral to the company’s venture capital formation. Andy started his career with McKinsey & Co, leading consulting engagements in operation effectiveness and technology strategy, and he earned a Ph.D. and B.S in Chemistry from Stanford and Notre Dame, respectively.
