Aurora Edington
Policy Director
GridWise Alliance

Sessions:

Aurora Edington is Policy Director at the GridWise Alliance. With a background in decarbonization strategy, energy systems analysis, and federal and state energy policy, she leads content development and coordinates member engagement. Previously she was at the Cadmus Group where she supported clients with meeting their climate goals and developing clean energy strategies. Most notably, Ms. Edington’s work included managing the consultant team working on the Massachusetts Decarbonization Study and co-authoring the state’s 2050 Decarbonization Roadmap. Ms. Edington spent two years at the U.S. Department of Energy in the Office for Energy Policy and Systems Analysis. She was deeply involved in the development and publication of the second installment of the Quadrennial Energy Review, a Federal report on the U.S. electricity system. She further coordinated U.S. DOE leadership participation in regional clean energy innovation events across the country and contributed to the summary report on regional opportunities for clean energy technology innovation.

Ms. Edington holds a Master of Science from the Technology and Policy Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she studied the role of long duration energy storage in deeply decarbonized power systems. Findings stemming from this research were published in Nature Energy. She graduated from Yale with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering.
