Kristen Brown is a member of the Exelon Utilities Strategy and Policy team, focusing on emerging technology innovation. Across Exelon’s six distribution utilities, she is responsible for identifying new technologies which help achieve the vision of the “utility as a platform” and support the development of smart and connected communities. Her efforts to-date predominately include blockchain, peer-to-peer markets, transactive energy, and communications infrastructure.

Prior to her role at Exelon, Kristen was a Fellow at the Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E). Kristen holds a PhD from Northwestern University in Chemistry and a BS from Georgia Tech in Chemical Engineering.
