Matt Forck
Vice President, Federal Legislative Affairs
Ameren Services

Sessions:

Matt Forck was promoted to Vice President, Federal Legislative Affairs in November 2021. In this role, Matt advocates for responsible energy policies on behalf of Ameren and its 2.4 million customers.

Forck is an inclusive and adaptive leader. In addition to his current role, his vast and varied experience includes more than three years as Ameren Missouri’s Vice President of Community, Economic Development and Energy Solutions (CEDES) and as a member of Ameren Missouri’s senior leadership team.

Matt also served for more than a decade as Ameren Missouri’s Sr. Director, Government Relations, leading policy and stakeholder development. Other leadership roles included utility safety oversight and directing electric utility operations – all after starting in the utility’s equivalent of a mailroom, as a meter reader in 1994.

Matt’s professional accomplishments showcase a track record of success, including national recognition for excellence in advocacy, economic development and passage of landmark utility legislation called the Smart Energy Plan, which unlocked an incremental $1B in smart grid investments in Missouri. Matt also led the Midwest electric vehicle charging infrastructure collaboration. A ‘first of its kind in the United States’ network of utilities committed to build out EV infrastructure.

Forck holds a B.S. from Truman State University (1992), is a board certified safety professional (CSP) and earned a journey line worker certification in overhead electrical line work (1997). He currently serves on the Christian Hospital Board and the Missouri Partnership Economic Development Board.

Matt and his wife, Stephanie, have been married since 1993 and have formed a diverse family through adoption; 21 year-old Natalie and 19 year-old Nate. He’s also an avid Missouri Tiger fan.
